Detailed Itinerary
Trip: Sunamganj - Tanguar Haor - Sunamganj (2 Days, 1 Night)
- 08:00 AM: Arrive at Sunamganj Saheb Bari Ghat (just 8-10 mins from the bus stand) and check into the houseboat.
- Freshen up and enjoy a hearty breakfast as the boat sets sail towards the Tanguar Haor Watch Tower.
- Explore the Watch Tower area and take a refreshing, peaceful bath in the clear haor waters away from the crowds.
- Enjoy a freshly prepared lunch onboard before cruising towards Tekerghat.
- Spend the late afternoon and evening walking around and relaxing at the stunning Niladri Lake.
- Overnight stay onboard the houseboat amidst the serene environment of Tekerghat.
- Wake up early and set sail towards the Jadukata River and Shimul Bagan. Enjoy breakfast with a magnificent view of the Meghalaya hills.
- Disembark to explore the beautiful Shimul Bagan and experience a refreshing bath in the cold waters of the Jadukata River.
- Return to the boat for lunch as the return journey to Sunamganj commences around 2:00 PM.
- 06:00 PM: Arrive back at Sunamganj Ghat for check-out. Guests may wait comfortably on the boat until their bus departure time.
Note: The itinerary routing can also be done in reverse (Jadukata/Shimul Bagan on Day 1, and Tanguar Haor/Tekerghat on Day 2) depending on weather and navigational preferences.
